Hi everyone, Renee, I just added you on facebook and sent friend suggestions to all the other girls on here. Ange, your holiday photos look great. You're lucky that Austin wasn't crawling yet cause he would have been eating handfulls of sand! When we were away I would put Emma down on a towel and she would be straight off it digging in the dirt or grass. How is DH going with his new business? And how are the nappy cakes going? Jayne, I see all your posts on facebook, so sort of keep up with you there, but was wondering if you were going to pop back in here. Everyone else... hope you are all well and families are good. I should write myself notes cause I can't remember what else I was going to write. Anyway, all good here. We are going camping tomorrow night, just the 4 of us. I've had a cousin visiting the past week which is why I haven't been on for a while. And my dad is coming to visit in 3 weeks. Yay. Em still has no teeth, but has been a bit sooky lately, so possibly some ...

I feel very unhappy with things in my life at the moment and sometimes think I have PND. How do I know if I am feeling depressed because I am unhappy about particular things OR if I am not happy because I have depression. Hope that makes sense. I know what I mean, just can't find the words to say it.
Anyone know a recipe with a packet of cream of chicken soup, chicken and veggies? MIL made something when we visited last. It was called "Chicken in a Hurry" but I can't find the recipe anywhere.
I am really hating where we live ATM so a few weeks ago I suggested moving. DH's response was the only way we could do that was if he worked FIFO (he's in mining). And he said that means he would miss out on seeing the kids grow up. (It would be one week on, one off, so I don't think that he would be missing out on seeing the kids grow up.) Anyway, today I told him there was a job I am considering applying for which is 8.30-1.30 mon-fri. I said I would put the kids in daycare on his days off and he can look after them when he is home. (He currently works 4 days on, 4 off.) He pretty much said no cause then he wouldn't have time to get anything done. WTF? It's 5 hours a day and not weekends. It really annoys me that I have to do EVERYTHING with 2 kids and he gets 4 days off and behaves like he has no responsibility at all and just does what he feels! Argggggg sometimes I'm sure I would be better off as a single mother!
Where is everyone????
Oh and happy 7mths Kate and goodluck with your bloodtests Kitty.
Hey hey... I'm back. Had a great time. Kids were very well behaved, took the ferry over to Magnetic Island, swam at the beautiful beaches, took Dylan to the water park on the strand at Townsville, loved the rockpool, Em had her first swim ever and I think that was Dylan's first swim in the ocean, built sandcastles, had fish and chips by the water, took the kids to Lollipops playcentre, relaxed...... It was wonderful. Except for the lack of sleep! Feeling like a zombie, been up before 5.30am the last 4 days. Off for an early night tonight, I was just popping in to say hi and.... *************HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGE*************** Hope you are having a wonderful holiday. Catch you all soon. xxx
HI, I don't have any advice for you, but I just read Nic's post and wanted to say that I have a bubba moe sling I bought and never used. (Mainly cos I had bub in summer and live in a VERY hot climate and wasn't comfortable having my baby so enclosed in such heat.) So, if you look into it and decide you want to buy one of these slings, pm me and you can bascially have a brand new one, cheaper.
Sorry forgot... Helen, sorry to hear about the misscarriages. I lost one at about 6 weeks 2 months before falling pregnant with Emma. I also had bleeding at 6weeks with Em and thought I was miscarrying again. So I know how much of a rollercoaster it is and how heartbreaking it can be. Crossing fingers for you xxx
Kitty- Emma has 4-5 breastfeeds a day and usually one or 2 over night. She doesn't eat much, its a struggle to get her to open her mouth when I'm feeding her with a spoon. And it's no worry for her to not get solids for a meal. But she will grab hold of anything I am eating. She has a good go at toast and fruit, any fingerfood really. And she loves iceblocks! Dylan has one outside everyday and Emma has been sharing one with me. She can't get enough of it! lol I weighed her the other week a couple of days past 7 months and she was spot on 8kg, so we have just turned her carseat around. Oh, nearly forgot.... we are heading over to Townsville wednesday. MIL lives over there and DH's nan will be up, so we are taking the kids for a visit. DH took a couple of shifts off work, so we have almost a week over there. Again not looking forward to the drive over (plus I have to drive cos DH lost his licence!!) but will be good once we are there. We are going to watch the Cowboys and Bronco's ...
